Food hubs are an effective strategy for connecting smaller farms to larger markets, and can positively impact the local economy and community health. A food hub is a physical space, and requires significant planning and investment, as well as a large amount of education for the community which it will serve, but also has great potential for increasing access to fresh foods in low-income communities.
