In 2011 the Oregon Latino Health Coalition (OLHC) and other allies supported the creation of ORCHWA so that community health workers across Oregon would have the ability to advocate for the best interests of their emergent profession. OLHC acted as fiscal sponsor to ORCHWA until October 31, 2014.

OPHI is committed to incubating and supporting efforts that align with building vibrant communities of health across the state, while working to improve equity, reduce disparities, and honor diversity. Acting as fiscal sponsor for ORCHWA is a natural fit for OPHI and we’re honored to serve in this role.
