“Tobacco Free Sites” increases barriers to tobacco use by creating smoke free areas, specifically workplaces. This can be utilized by employers and businesses in general to create program and policy centered around cessation of tobacco smoking. The CDC toolkit provides the resources needed to assess, plan, promote, implement, and evaluate a smoke free workplace program. Implementation of a tobacco free worksite would be very low cost, but would work best in conjunction with other tobacco cessation programs.
